It's cold out... make sure to put on a hoodie ;)

Hi everyone! So, I've been a human popsicle the past few days... partially because high's for the region have been in the single digits, and partially because I've been sick. Don't know where this sickness came from, but it's not enjoyable in the slightest.

I was in Clarion on Sunday and part of the day on Monday, and I honestly felt bad for all of the students who had to wander around campus all day with the wind chills that were keeping all of the area schools closed for two days. I came home to do laundry, see my parents, and get a real home-cooked meal. I really had no reason I HAD to be at home, but sometimes when you're living in a new place, it's just nice to take 24 hours and go back to your hometown, especially some place like Clarion. Clarion's good for that. Spend four (or five... maybe more) years at Clarion, and you feel as if you know everyone. You wander through Walmart (cause that's what CU students do in their spare time), and you recognize people. You go to the bar (when you're 21, of course), and you know almost everyone. It's kind of nice to see a friendly face everywhere you go.

But I'm back at Pittsburgh again. Can't really make it home for more than 24 hours at a time. Being a big, bad intern is demanding. After 14 hours of sleep yesterday (I was in bed from the moment I got home until I ABSOLUTELY had to wake up this morning), I'm feeling much better, and I'm back at JHC. The internship is going well. I'm getting to write more for the agency, which I think is really important. Every agency, company, etc has a slightly different way that they do things, and I'm finally starting to get a feeling as to how JHC works. I've been involved in some conference calls with some really big potential clients, and if they choose to use us, I think it will be a lot of fun doing some of the work for them. I feel like I've been here a lot longer than I actually have. This is actually just the beginning of my fifth week. I can only imagine how much I'll learn within the next three months of my internship :). It's so exciting.

I'm still sick, and being productive is quite a challenge when you're sick, so I think I'm going to go back to resting my sick lil' body. Hope everyone stays warm out there. For my WCUB friends that know what I'm talking about, "make sure you put on a hoodie, it's cold outside".
